Princeton Tec AMP Flashlights
|
The Princeton Tec AMP Series of Flashlights give you pure white light in a compact and rugged Xylex housing. The impressive brightness is courtesy of the latest Nichia Ultrabright LEDs. Combine this with a regulated circuit which provides constant brightness and you have glorious illumination! A powerful, yet clean flood of light is unlike any other handheld light in our line.
From campsites, to back country treks, to a simple walking of the dog, the Amp series has the power and versatility to handle it all.
The AMP series comes in three styles and assorted colors: AMP 1.0, AMP 3.0, AMP 3.5, AMP 4.0 and AMP 5.0.
Features:
-
REGULATED LED / CONSTANT BRIGHTNESS
Princeton Tec lights that feature regulated LEDs have a sophisticated regulating circuit that maintains initial brightness as long as the batteries have sufficient voltage. Traditional lights are very bright initially, but immediately begin to dim and continue to dim until the batteries are drained. Constant Brightness is a term used to describe products that have regulated LEDs.

Lights rated at Level 1 are designed for water resistance to splashing and quick dunkings. If a light with a Level 1 rating is accidentally submerged for a longer period of time, the batteries should be removed and the cabinets should be carefully inspected for signs of battery leakage. If water has entered the housing, the light should be dried and batteries replaced.

Princeton Tec’s intermediate rating, Level 2, is assigned to lights that offer a degree of water protection equivalent to IPX7 in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Lights rated at Level 2 provide waterproof integrity down to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
- AMP 1.0 - WATERPROOF - LEVEL 3
The highest of Princeton Tec’s ratings, Level 3 is assigned to lights that offer
a degree of water protection equivalent to IPX8 in the International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Lights rated at Level 3 provide
waterproof integrity for continual submersion in water at depths down to 100
meters.
- Beam:
- AMP 3.0 - FOCUSED WIDE BEAMS
This beam pattern is an excellent choice for multipurpose activities. At close range, focused wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions and allow you to take advantage of your peripheral vision.
- AMP 1.0, AMP 4.0 & AMP 5.0 - FOCUSED NARROW BEAMS
This pattern creates a long, powerful beam of light excellent for illuminating distant areas. The resulting long-throw spotlight is especially well-suited for night hiking and search and rescue.
